This week we wished Vince Otero a happy retirement. Thank you, Vince, for all you’ve done for HIP Salon, and we hope you always Stay HIP!
Brenda Pacini joins HIP Salon team.
HIP Salon is proud to announce the newest addition to our stylist team: Brenda Pacini.
Brenda worked with many of HIP’s longtime staffers at Heidi’s (yes, that was the ’90s). In fact, she was originally trained by Debra.
Cutting and styling hair for 22 years, Brenda said she always knew she wanted to go to beauty school.
“I love talking to my clients, making them feel good,” she said. “It’s not just a haircut to me; it’s an experience.”
Brenda recently worked as a stylist for Asha SalonSpa. Coming to HIP was like coming home, she said, because she’s worked with more than half of the staff before.
“I’m very excited to be here, working with them. They’re like part of my family,” she said. “Clients keep telling me how comfortable they are here. The atmosphere is welcoming.”
“I’m learning new things, new products. I feel like I can continue to grow in what I love to do.”
Brenda is married with three children, who keep her personal life pretty busy. Like any devoted mom, her favorite TV shows usually revolve around “Dora the Explorer.”
When she does get some “me” time, she likes working out: Zumba, yoga, whatever – she likes changing it up.
Stop by and meet Brenda. Schedule a new cut or style appointment with her today.
HIP Salon Stylist Ryan Brown (in back) shaves Emily Orabutt (right) during the Shamrock Shave March 15 in the St. Mary Margaret gym in Algonquin.
HIP Stylist Ryan Brown pitched in to help shave the heads of 60 men, women and children as part of the 6th Annual Shamrock Shave on March 15 in Algonquin.
Ryan’s volunteering contributed to St. Margaret Mary parish and community raising more than $40,000 to benefit the needy through the St. Vincent DePaul Society and cancer research through the Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation. You can read more about the Shamrock Shave benefit on St Margaret Mary’s webpage.
What’s really cool is that one of Ryan’s shaved heads belongs to Emily Orabutt, a HIP Salon friend who raised the most – more than $4,200 – for the event.
Congrats to Emily and all the Shamrock Shave participants for an awesome showing!
You guys, (Sham)ROCK!
